Years ago, perusing our first Zingerman’s catalog, we knew these were people we wanted to hang out and share a beer with. People who would travel the globe to offer us salt-packed anchovies, Finnish black licorice, handmade marshmallows and true aged balsamic vinegar via mail are our kind of people; and this is possibly the best edited and most wittily described selection of foods by mail available anywhere.

Zingerman’s began life as a deli in Ann Arbor Michigan in 1982. Its exceptional food and service brought the deli great success, and the founders, Ari Weinzweig and Paul Saginaw, saw an opportunity to expand their business by channeling the deli’s strengths into a network of related businesses. Zingerman’s Community of Businesses now includes a bakehouse, a restaurant, a coffee roastery, a creamery, catering company, and a corporate training and consulting company that teaches the service and management techniques that made Zingerman’s successful.
